Abstract
The excitation functions for some reactions of with monoenergetic ions have been measured by use of the stacked-foil technique. The (C, ) and (C, ) reactions were found to occur through the formation of a compound nucleus followed by neutron evaporation. The results were consistent with calculations made by a modified Jackson-type treatment. Application of the information from the reactions to the calculation of cross sections for the reaction was found to give agreement with experimental results.
