Abstract
The reaction of ammonia on protected L or D serine-β-lactone was reinvestigated. An easy synthesis of N2 -tertbutoxycarbonyl-L-2,3-diaminopropanoic acid (and D enantiomer). an important precursor of several antibiotics is proposed. Keywords
