Abstract
The case history of a pseudo-hermaphroditic girl of age 20s is reported. Cross-sectional and longitudinal data at the ages of 12, 16, and 18 yrs. are given. Detailed studies were made of physical build, endocrinological abnormalities, intelligence, interests, and personality characteristics. Operative procedures were employed for the removal of most of the right adrenal and for modifying the external genitalia. Hormone therapy was extensively used, and psychiatric interviews were held with the patient. Neither hormones nor surgery brought about improvement in biologic status. In spite of this, the patient has made a good social and vocational adjustment. This may be attributed in part to sympathetic personal guidance. Keywords
