Abstract
Suicide figures are generally underestimated, more so for children and adolescents than for adults. Yet suicide among adolescents has shown the greatest rise for any age group. Every youngster who attempts or threatens suicide should have a thorough psychiatric evaluation. Most of them require intense therapy, either individually or in a group. Keywords
