Abstract
Studies [conducted in India] on seasonal variation of agar in G. corticata from June, 1966-May, 1969 showed values from 14.5-22.5% in different months. The lowest percentage of agar yield was observed in the months of Aug., Sept., Oct. and May; the highest yield is obtained in the months of June-July and Nov.-April. Studies on monthly variation in gel strength from June, 1966-May, 1968 showed a narrow range of variation from 17-15 g/cm2.Keywords
