Abstract
A tooth-bearing facial fragment of the extinct cat Panthera atrox is described. The specimen, from Pleistocene gravels near Bindloss, Alberta, extends the known northward range of this species on the Great Plains. Although the exact geological age of the specimen is uncertain, occurrences of P. atrox elsewhere suggest its presence in southeastern Alberta during a relatively warm phase of the Late Pleistocene. Keywords
