Abstract
α‐RbMnCl3·2H2O is found to order antiferromagnetically at TN = 4.560±0.005 K. The magnetic array can be described by P2bc′ca′. The chains are antiferromagnetic. Values for the electric quadrupole coupling and the magnetic interaction parameters are reported for the Rb as well as for the Cl nucleus. The interpretation of the proton spectra gives rise to the assumption of a rather large spin reduction which agrees with the presumed one‐dimensional character of these compounds. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
