High power, compact 1.48 μm diode-pumped broadband superfluorescent fibre source at 1.5 μm

Abstract

Several configurations of compact l.48 μm diode-pumped superfluorescent erbium-doped fibre sources are analysed. An output power of over 16 mW and a conversion efficiency greater than 50%, have been obtained with a spectral bandwidth of 20nm.
