Abstract
Permanent wilting percentage and moisture-equivalent values detd. on a group of soils from western U. S. are compared with the 15-atmosphere and the ^-atmosphere percentages. For these soils, the 15-atmosphere % forms a fairly definite lower limit below which the permanent wilting % seldom falls. For 102 of 119 of the soils, the permanent wilting % is in the moisture range between the 15-atmosphere % and 1.5% of moisture above that figure. The ^-atmosphere % corresponds closely to the moisture equivalent for coarse-textured soils (moisture equivalent < 22).This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
