Abstract
After 40 applications of dinitrochlorobenzene (1%[degree] in acetone) on the nipple of a guinea-pig previously sensitized we found no eczema on the treated nipple. There is no general desensitization as we could prove by histological examination of the other nipple, which had only one application of dinitrochlorobenzene (1% in acetone). The nipple treated by multiple applications shows an acanthosis which, according to previous experiences, can not simply be held responsible for a local desensitization.
