Abstract
It is shown that plasma component separation, 'demixing', occurs in an alcohol vortex arc, in contrast to the mixing present in some other liquid vortex arcs. New transition probability measurements are reported for five CI lines and one SII line. An electron density determination based on the Hbeta half-width is only 85% of the result from optically thin radiation measurements. Keywords
