Abstract
The full-vectorial beam-propagation method with the improved finite-difference formula is applied to the analysis of a TE/TM mode converter based on an asymmetric periodic loaded waveguide. The polarization conversion behavior is measured at a microwave frequency. It is demonstrated that the calculated complete conversion length is in agreement with the experimental result. Keywords
