Abstract
Thyroidectomized, adrenalectomized, orchidectomiz-ed male rats developed a moderate anemia as compared to the severe and progressive anemia of the hypophysectomized rat. These observations are interpreted as strengthening the hypothesis that the pituitary produces an erythropoietic factor necessary for normal erythropoiesis. Keywords
