Abstract
Groups of patients who express suicidal ideas and threats are much more disturbed than either patients who have made suicidal attempts or "patients-in-general." Patients in the latter two categories are similar. " . . . in any investigation of suicide, most meaningful results might be obtained if data for individuals with various kinds of 'suicidal' behavior are differentially classed." These conclusions are based on an analysis of MMPI records of male veteran psychiatric patients. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
