Abstract
Discusses the observational characteristics (classification, luminosities, composition, etc.) of WR stars. The evolution of WR stars and the interaction of WR stars with their environment are discussed. A brief account of the discovery of WR stars in other galaxies is given. Finally, the main issues in the research into the structure and evolution of WR stars are discussed. Keywords
