Abstract
Isolation of mycoplasmas other than the known pathogen, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, from clinical specimens resulted in compelling evidence that the T strain mycoplasmas [U. urealyticum] are not always benign commensals colonizing the mucous membranes of the genitourinary tract of men and women, but may be actively involved in infection with sequelae expressed as nongonococcal urethritis and some form of reproductive wastage, i.e., infertility, spontaneous abortion or premature births. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
