Abstract
In a recent paper Bleaney and Oliver (1972) have reported on the effects of sonication of Vicia faba roots. In similar experiments we have exposed roots of Zea mays for various times to ultrasonic radiation at 1 MHz supplied by the Impulsaphon M55, a therapeutic instrument capable of either continuous or pulsed operation and giving pulse durations of 2 ms, with a duty factor of 0·2.Keywords
