Abstract
Indium(III) thiocyanate is found to be a thiocyanate-bridged polymer in the solid state. Reactions with unidentate donor ligands give rise to addition compounds In(NCS)3L3(L = pyridine, γ-picoline, urea, dimethylsulphoxide, NN-dimethylacetamide, triphenylphosphine oxide, and thiourea) which are compared with adducts of indium(III) halides. Possible structures of compounds involving bidentate ligands are suggested. Keywords
