Abstract
META-RAND is a SAS Macro that generates random values according to certain parameters that are then used for calculating the correlations in a meta-analysis. The program uses some of the new approaches to meta-analysis that have been suggested by Hunter and Schmidt (1990) and Whitener (1990). Output consists of uncorrected and corrected mean and variance of r and several measures of the degree of homogeneity or heterogeneity in the data. The program runs on any environment that supports the SAS software package. Keywords
