Abstract
A many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) calculation is carried out to estimate quantitatively the effect of the many-body interaction on the photoionisation from the excited 3p state of neon. The authors calculation has shown that the many-body effect is relatively small (less than 15%) in the energy region where the photoionisation cross section is significant (i.e. 1 Mb or greater). Keywords
