Abstract
The formation of space charge in PE/EVA laminates has been investigated. In the laminates, the charge is formed predominantly at the interface. Heterocharge is found in the blends which decreases as the EVA content increases. The internal field is highly distorted in the laminates due to the accumulation of charge at the interface, whereas a relatively uniform field distribution was observed in the blends. The observation for the blends Is explained using the results obtained with the laminates. Keywords
