Abstract
The drought- and saline-tolerant trees of the Prosopis genus produce timber, fuel- wood, fodder, and other useful products. 21 species with economic potential are listed, and the most important features of the genus in relation to establishment and multiple-use in arid zones are discussed.Keywords
