Manufacturing Strategy: A Proposed Research Methodology.

Abstract
Past empirical research in manufacturing strategy has resulted in relatively few substantive findings. One of the reasons may be in the way that the strategy concept is defined at the outset. This paper proposes a research methodology developed by Henry Mintzberg be used in the study of this concept. Mintzberg's methodology overcomes past problems of strategy research and conforms to the unique characteristics exemplified by manufacturing strategy.
