Abstract
Twenty-two patients undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery for nasal or perinasal basal cell carcinoma (BCC) were noted to have folliculocentric basaloid proliferation (FBP) on standard horizontal frozen sections. This FBP probably represents "bulge" growth and may have striking similarity to BCC. Criteria that distinguish FBP from BCC are presented herein.
