Abstract
Aqueous and lipoid-soluble extracts of the tubera cinerea of female or castrated male pigs were injd. subcut. into infantile female white rats on 3 days. 72 hrs. after the first injn. the animals were sacrificed and the ovaries and uterus taken off and weighed . An increase in ovarian or uterine wt. was not detected, so that a gonadotropic action on the hypophysis could not be suggested.
