Abstract
We present analytic sets of N solitary waves as solutions of N coupled nonlinear Schrödinger and of N coupled `quadratic' equations, for which the nonlinear coupling parameters of the coupled equations can take up wide ranges of values. The coupled equations may not be integrable in the usual sense, but have analytic solitary waves and are solvable for the given initial conditions prescribed by the analytic solutions. Potential applications of these solitary waves are discussed. Keywords
