Abstract
In this paper we analyze the outage performance of a slow fading relay channel in the low SNR regime. We present a scheme, called bursty amplify and forward, which achieves the epsi-outage capacity of the relay channel for small outage probabilities epsi, and we give a simple characterization of the outage capacity. Our results directly yield the epsi-outage capacity per unit energy of the channelKeywords
