Abstract
SUMMARY: 1. The corpus luteum in cattle, pigs and women is rich in α-l-fucosidase, β-d-fucosidase, β-d-galactosidase, α-d-mannosidase, β-d-glucuronidase and β-N-acetyl-d-glucosaminidase activity. In comparison, the activity of these enzymes in the follicular fluid is usually negligible. The remainder of the ovarian tissue approximates to the follicles in activity. 2. The activities found in the corpora lutea of pregnant and non-pregnant animals were the same. Keywords
