Abstract
Collateral blood vessels, which are rudimentary in the normal heart, develop with increasing frequency and size in the presence of coronary heart disease. The overwhelming evidence in dog and man seems to indicate that the collateral vessels can be least partially compensate for the loss of normal coronary blood flow.This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
