Abstract
The isotope dilution method applied to the determination of the known cross section of the reaction 51V(n, γ)52V has given satisfactory results. It has then been used for studying the formation of 6Li in 16O. The target, bombarded with 155 MeV protons is tri-distilled water. Simultaneously the production cross section of 7Be under the same conditions was measured by counting the 480 keV γ rays. The ratio of these two cross sections is in agreement with recent calculations made by I. Dostrovsky et alKeywords
