Abstract
A blanket option featured by helium cooling and lithiated ceramics inside tubes is under development at CEA/ENEA within the framework of the European Test Blanket Program. A first conceptual design of this blanket option for a DEMO reactor has been arrived at, which exhibits good prospects for meeting DEMO requirements. Its critical issues are being addressed in an experimental programme presently in progress.Keywords
