Abstract
Lesbian women are as diverse in childhood histories, personality characteristics, and relationship styles as heterosexual women. Social workers can offer lesbians particular assistance in issues related to self-esteem and can help mediate their acceptance by courts in custody cases, by their parents, and by society in general. Keywords
