Abstract
A theory has been developed for thermal fluctuations of electromagnetic surface waves propa-gating normal to a dc magnetic field along a plasma-plasma boundary. It is shown that for relatively weak magnetic fields the energy of these fluctuations can be emitted from the plasma. This emission is investigated in conditions which are typical for laser-produced plasmas when a spontaneously generated magnetic field exists. The spectral distribution obtained reveals both an amplitude and angular asymmetry which can be used for diagnostic purposes. Keywords
