Abstract
Excited state rate constants have been obtained for complexes of rhodamine B and tetrachloroanions of the group IIIA metals. The results were analyzed by comparison with a heavy atom effect model. Other interaction mechanisms were discussed as well as the suitability of this system for time resolved fluorescence analysis. Keywords
