Rhinocerebral phycomycosis (mucorymycosis)

Abstract
An 18‐year‐old female, admitted with diabetic Ketoacidosis, was found to have rhinocerebral phycomycosis involving the hard palate with perforation into the maxillary antrum and extension to and loss of the left eye. She survived following extensive debridement and administration of Amphotericin‐B, but the relative contribution of each to her recovery was not established.
