Chromatographic Measurement of Hydrogen Adsorption on Supported Metallic Catalysts

Abstract
A method is described which allows chemisorption studies when the adsorption rate is high. Good agreement is obtained between static and dynamic data with platinum reforming catalysts: platinum is highly dispersed on silica-alumina, and two types of sites appear. Only comparative studies are possible with nickel catalysts. Raising the decomposition temperature of nickel formate leads to sintering of the nickel.
