Abstract
Accurate assessment of violent behavior requires an extensive evaluation of neurobiological as well as psychological components. Although controversial, a growing body of research raises important questions about the role of organic predispositions in certain types of explosive behavior. This article attempts to integrate these findings and explores the implications for assessment and treatment. These issues are also considered in relation to the criminal justice system. Keywords
