ABNORMALITIES of respiratory function have been observed in scleroderma.1 2 3 4 5 However, little attention has been paid to the study of the pulmonary function of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. This omission is strange in view of the high incidence of radiologic abnormalities observed on x-ray films of the chest and the widespread distribution of the disease.
