Abstract
ABNORMALITIES of respiratory function have been observed in scleroderma.1 2 3 4 5 However, little attention has been paid to the study of the pulmonary function of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. This omission is strange in view of the high incidence of radiologic abnormalities observed on x-ray films of the chest and the widespread distribution of the disease. Although it was assumed that some abnormalities would be detected on a study of pulmonary function, an unexpected frequency of findings was obtained. The purpose of the present investigation was to study the pulmonary function of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and to determine whether . . .Keywords
