Abstract
The effect of antiarrhythmic drugs on the oxidation of glucose by heart tissue was studied. Quinine and quinidine inhibited oxygen consumption and glucose utilization by rat heart slices and homogenates, while chloroquine and procaine amide had little effect.Keywords
