Abstract
The nucleon electromagnetic form factors GEN,M(q2) are computed in an independent quark model based on the Dirac equation with the confining potential V'(r)=(1+ gamma 0)(anu +1rnu +V0). Corrections for centre-of-mass motion and pion cloud effects are incorporated. Results for static quantities like mu N,(r2)N1/2 and (gA)n to pe nu are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data. Keywords
