Abstract
Two-term asymptotic expansions for the oscillator strengths of a number of important lines of the helium and lithium isoelectronic sequences are presented. The leading term in each expansion is exact, while the second term is obtained by a fit to the accurate f values for Ne+8 and Ne+7 recently published by Wiese, Smith, and Glennon (1966). It is found that these asymptotic expansions also give very accurate f values for many of the lower members of the two sequences.Keywords
