Abstract
Algorithms for locating multiple signal sources simultaneously with the aid of linear arrays and digital signal processing are presented. The approach basically consists of determining the eigenvalues/eigenvectors of a complex covariance matrix and solving a polynomial formed from the elements of eigenvectors. Computer simulations are performed to investigate the behavior of the algorithms in terms of their accuracy, convergence, and angular resolution. The performance of the algorithms with actual test data is reported. Keywords
