Abstract
Summary A technic for an amputative hemorrhoidectomy with a closed plastic repair has been described. The comparative results are an improvement over radial excision procedures. The incidence of complications and sequelae is lessened, pain with defecation is absent in 93 per cent of the patients and recurrence is minimal. The results of the amputative and plastic operation have been compared with those of radial excision procedures in the hope that interest will be aroused in the former procedures. Keywords
