Color Perception in Unilateral Aphakia

Abstract
This case report is an illustration of color perceived by an artist with monocular aphakia. Awareness of subtle differences in color has practical importance in vocations that depend upon accurate color recognition. An artist's interpretation and illustration of these differences offers a basis upon which our understanding of color perception may be more accurately defined and modified. The selection of a brown tint contact lens improved this patient's perceptual color balance toward preoperative values.
