Abstract
Temperature dependences of the overall rate constants were measured for the reactions CH3OH + OH (1) and C2H5OH + OH (2) from 300 to 1000 K. Branching ratios for reactions (1) and (2) were determined at 298 K and secondary reactions of the product radicals were investigated. A rate constant for the combined reaction/deactivation of OH (v = 1) by CH3OH was derived. Keywords
