Immunoglobulin Subclasses in Normal Children

Abstract
Summary: The range, mean, and normal bounds of serum IgG 1-4 subclass concentrations in children 0-16 years old are given. Levels increase with age, plateauing at different ages. Definition of the normal range will permit better identification of individuals with either low or high levels. Speculation: These studies, by defining the range of γG1, γG2, γG3, and γG4 levels in normal individuals, will help further define who is hypo-gammaglobulinemic.
