Abstract
A simple model of sorption in zeolites is presented, for which a complete solution by statistical mechanics is readily obtained. This leads to an expression for the isosteric heat as a function of the degree of occupancy of the cells which can show a maximum as saturation is approached, as is observed experimentally. The model does not assume there to be attractive interactions between the sorbed molecules. Keywords
