Abstract
Phase‐pure, micrometer‐sized, spherical gold particles(see Figure) have been generated for the first time by spray pyrolysis of gold nitrate at temperatures well below the melting point of gold. The effects of reaction atmosphere, temperature, and residence time on the morphology of the final product are described. The resulting gold powder is shown to be suitable for a variety of microelectronics applications. magnified imageKeywords
