Abstract
The optically active amino acids stimulate sugar metabolism in Spirogyra and Paramecium, while optically inactive ones do not. Paramecium uses sugar much more rapidly than does Spirogyra. Both use dextrose and levulose more rapidly than galactose. Insulin increases the rate of utilization in Parmecium and Spirogyra. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
