Abstract
The underlying theory and the basic instrumental techniques of Mossbauer spectroscopy are described briefly. Applicationa of the technique in nuclear physics, lattice dynamics, radiation and ion-implantation studies, surface studies, metallurgy, chemistry, and biology are considered and evaluated. Keywords
